Yes, if you have a home alarm system monitored by Surety you can just add compatible smoke detectors to your system for fire monitoring.
The monitoring plans on our website all include fire monitoring, there are no separate fire and security plans.

While I cannot speak for other providers, in general, your security monitoring company should be able to provide you with a “proof of monitoring” certificate to give to insurance. If fire is being monitored by your system/service provider, then fire should be reflected on that certificate. You may need to reach out to them directly for more information.

If you have security monitoring service through Surety, to have Fire Monitoring reflected on the monitoring certificate, you would need:
- a compatible alarm system,
- a security plan with monitoring,
- and a smoke sensor programmed into that system.
OK, we will cancel our current provider and order a system through Surety as long as we are able to get a certificate showing that we have fire monitoring.
