I have a Marantec M50 garage door opener. I would like to be able to monitor and control it from my Alarm.com app similar to my alarm system. I use a 2GIG z-wave base station.
Can this be done and if so what will I need? Or will I need to get a new garage door opener from Chamberlin or Liftmaster?

Marantec openers are not compatible with Liftmaster MyQ products unfortunately. You can likely use a GD00Z Z-wave opener though. This would require good Z-wave communication to the garage, which typically requires a repeating device or two like light switches or plug in modules, depending on your panel distance.
You could alternatively swap out the opener.
The GD00Z-4 works perfectly. Took about 20-30 minutes to set everything. The garage door appeared automatically in my alarm.com app and I’m able to open/close it from my phone.
