So, unless I’m just an idiot and not understanding what is going on here, my plan is to wire the alarm relay, and tge trouble relay to two different zones, using one for gas detected alarm, and the other to alert me of a trouble condition.
Am I off my rocker here?
You can wire them separately but the way the diagram is showing also works. The panel will be programmed as Normally Open with an EOLR. The Trouble relays are Normally closed but they allow the panel to see the EOLR at the end of the loop. The whole loop is Normally open however and when the alarm is triggered, it causes a short on the two terminals causing an alarm.
It is basically two loops in one. The downside in this wiring is if the first GD-2B device in the loop has a trouble, then the seconds device has an alarm, the alarm panel will not trigger an alarm. If you ever receive a trouble, it is important you fix it ASAP.
I separated the two. Alarm is in red and the Trouble is in blue. Hopefully it makes it a little easier to differentiate how the wiring will work.
I appreciate it. I should have also included that they will be in separate structures. One in the house basement, the other in ab 800 sq ft shop to two different PG W2W translators. So will not be wired in series.
Same principle applies. When an alarm occurs, it shorts the Blue and Yellow. The NC Trouble relay still is used only to complete the loop to the EOLR so the system is not in tamper.

That is correct.
When a trouble occurs on the GD-2B, it will open the normally closed relay and open the loop. This will not allow the panel to see the sensor, causing a tamper.
