Lutron Caseta Question

I read the instructions on how to integrate a Lutron Caseta into alarm.com, but Lutron isn’t an option under add lighting device like it says it should be in the post. Is it still possible?

Lutron is an optional free add-on for Home and Complete plans. To link Lutron devices, you would first enable Lutron on your account. You can adjust your plan and included features at any time in the system manager here.

I’ve gone ahead and enabled Lutron for you on your Alarm.com account, you should be able to add your devices now.

Thanks!

I successfully integrated the Lutron account with Alarm.com, it shows as active on both the Lutron and Alarm.com side, but the devices I have added to my Lutron account don’t show up in alarm.com after a few hours. Doing some googling, some sites say that only the Lutron smart bridge Pro rather than the regular smart bridge is capable of integrating with Alarm.com. Is that right?

Do you have the Caseta Wirelss L-BDG2?

You should be able to add it. Could you try unlinking your Lutron account and relinking it after? I see it was added to your account but none of the switches learned in

I tried that and it still didn’t work. Yes, I have a Caseta Wirelss L-BDG2

Is it showing as linked on your Lutron app?

Lutron app:
Open the app > Gear Icon > Advanced > Integration > Connections > Does alarm.com show up on the list?

Yes, in the Lutron app under integrations it shows alarm.com as linked with a green check and the lights are added in the app under devices. Odd it’s not making its way from one to the other.

Is the Lutron Bridge running on the latest version? Could you check if theres any available update on it through the app

I confirmed all the Lutron firmware is up to date, no dice

Best,
Ian

When linking Lutron to Alarm.com, does it show that it performs a scan?

Yes, when I add the account, it says it is discovering devices then it says the devices were successfully added, but they don’t show up in the lights.

Do you have the bridge added to your Lutron app and you are able to control the lights from the Lutron app?

Yes, the lights show up in my Lutron app and I’m able to control them and in the same Lutron app it shows I’m connected to Alarm.com.

And you only have one Lutron Caseta wireless bridge added to your Lutron account, correct?

That’s right.

Can you unlink alarm.com from the Lutron app and then go into alarm.com and unlink it from there if needed and try again

I just did that, don’t think it added the lights.

Can you try unlinking the bridge and then power cycle the Caseta Wireless Bridge. Then try adding again.

If this doesn’t work, try unlinking then press and hold the back button for about 20 seconds. The hub LED light should start to blink fast. According to Lutron, this disconnects the Caseta Wireless bridge from their servers and re-establishes connection.

Is Lutron Caseta still an option for motorized blinds controlled via Alarm.com app?

Yes, Alarm.com supports individual shade control through Lutron Caseta.
