Low battery on SMKT3-345 after changing

Hi, I have an SMKT3-345 that started chirping every 45 seconds, flashing yellow every 8 seconds. I know this indicates a dirty sensor. I blew it out but that didn’t resolve the issue. I am getting to my replace-by date - could this just be an instance of the sensor approaching end of life?

Thanks!

Its possible. If the issue continues after wiping it down and blowing out the sensing chamber.

When replacing the batteries, remove the old for at least 30 seconds before replacing with new. This gives the system a chance to catch up with the low battery indication. Failure to do this can result in the system reporting a low battery even when new batteries are inserted
