Low battery glass break

Yesterday I received a low battery alert for a glass break sensor. I removed the battery, waited 60 seconds before inserting the new battery. Then closed and reopened (to trigger a tamper) on the sensor.
The low battery alert on the panel remain.
Any suggestions?

I am showing that the sensor is Zone 55 but there are other glass breaks on the list. First confirm that you have changed the batteries on the correct sensor. The sensor ID printed on the glass break should match what is in programming.

Also ensure the batteries used to replace are fresh, within their printed date code, of the type recommended by the manufacturer, and following the correct polarity.

Provided the above is correct, try the following:

  1. Tamper the glass break two times, back to back. Does it report tampers to the panel?

  2. If that does not resolve, delete from programming, wait a couple minutes then re-add.
