When I was with 2gig, I installed a Honeywell 5800RP to stop the loss of supervision alerts in my pool house however the tech that came out told me that you don’t need to connect it directly to the main panel. I am still to this day getting a loss of supervision in a motion sensor in my pool house and when I checked the panel I still don’t see the repeater doing what it suppose to do, So how do I add a Honeywell 5800RP repeater to my panel.
It is correct that the repeater does not need to be learned into the panel.
All you need to do with the repeater to make it function is power it up. Make sure all the dip switches are set to “off”
Where is this repeater located? It should be somewhere between the sensor location and the panel, closer to mid-way preferably than either device.
