I have the original panel from almost 3 years ago. The battery is swollen and I am thinking maybe just get a new panel as I like the look of it. Is there an easy backup then restore type process or do I need to configure the new panel from scratch? Also can I buy the panel with the image module here unlocked for use by any service?
As a follow up do you sell replacement batteries for the original panel?
It looks like this is in reference to the Qolsys IQ Panel. There is no local backup and restore capability at the panel.
There is though a backup and restore option through Alarm.com, however it does not appear that this is related to an active suretyDIY subscription. You would need to contact your current provider in order to perform the panel swap, as only they would have access to this tool.
Also can I buy the panel with the image module here unlocked for use by any service?
All panels and communication modules sold by suretyDIY are unlocked. The modules are only “locked” when currently registered with a service provider, as they can only be used with one provider at a time. If you do not purchase a service subscription along with the module, it would be unregistered.

The original IQ Panel has been discontinued by Qolsys. We do not currently stock and sell replacement battery packs in the suretyDIY store. If you are a suretyDIY subscriber, we can assist with obtaining a replacement if one is needed.
