Light control of the adc-729 flood light

I am wanting to install the adc-729ac, but I want to know if there are manual controls for the flood light function (maybe in the app)? I would like to turn the lights on when I let my dogs out at night, but I don’t want to light to turn on with the motion sensor due to false detection.

Also in the install topic for this camera light it mentioned installing it at 8 feet. Would there be an issue if I installed it higher, emphasized textlike around 20 feet? Thank you.

Yes the floodlight cameras add a light switch in the app that looks like any other light switch.

I’m not sure about installing it at 20ft high. The camera would work fine but not sure about the motion sensor.

Thank you for the confirmation on the light switch. Do you know what the diameter of the mounting base is? I will need to use a vinyl siding block with a junction box to mount it, and there are a few different sizes to choose from.

It should be a 4" junction box. I don’t have one with me today measure the diameter of the base and I don’t see it documented anywhere but we can get that for you on Monday.

If you can measure it on Monday that would be great.

Also can I setup one of the indoor cameras just for live viewing, where it dosent trigger any alarms? My wife wants to keep an eye on her puppy while we are at work.

FYI - We do the same thing for our puppy while at work! We use a v515 for exactly this purpose. :dog2:
We just did not configure any recording rules for that camera, and we point it toward a wall while we are home for privacy.

Nice. I will pick up one of those cameras as well.

Alarm.com recommends a 4 inch round or square junction box. The base of the 729 is 5.9 inches.

Perfect. Thank you.
