Leak Detection and Valve Shutoff integration

I have these leak detectors https://www.deltafaucet.com/leakdetection

They are self contained units that are WIFI enabled. They can send email alerts and text alerts and work through an app for iphone

I just purchased this zwave shut off valve because it works with 2 gig, lifetime warranty and seems to have proper certifications. http://getaleakgopher.com/ It will show up as a light switch like many zwave devices.

My goal would be to have the leak detector go off and then send a signal to the valve shutoff to shut off.

Do you see a way this would be possible? ITTT? I imagine you would have to do that in conjunction with an ADC rule.

Is there a way to base a rule on notification input through ADC?

No, there would not be a way to influence the panel or Alarm.com account to trigger a rule based on an incompatible product or IFTTT.

Alarm.com rules are saved locally at the panel, and function via local triggers for the most part. Keeping this function local reduces latency from the trigger to action and eliminates some reliability issues and failure points.

To control a water valve in an ADC rule, you would want to use a flood detector compatible with the alarm panel you are using. In this case, the RE219 is a comparable detector. It does not detect drips, but it detects pooling in the same manner, with its probe installed in the same location. A post on water management can be found here.

Now, that said, if the device has a dry contact output that can be monitored, it can be wired to a wireless transmitter like the DW10, or hardwired into the wired sensor inputs on a panel terminal block. That can then be programmed as your flood sensor.

A dry contact relay is the ultimate translator.
