Does anyone know of a way on the iPad or Phone app to keep the video running and not let the device sleep until you close it so you can watch video all day without having to re-open it? Some apps have a setting to force it to stay open but alarm.com does not.
The live video feed will timeout and cannot be streamed continuously.
Yep, it’s not intended for that purpose of constant streaming. More of a check on it here and there with automated functions.

Bummer I work form home and want the stream up on another monitor for my front door. Is there anyway to put that request into them as a feature? Just need to code that into the app as an option to leave it open. Same on the website, it used to stay running a few months ago but now it does not.
I can ask around and see if any of the upcoming/recent integrations allow longer streaming. I do not believe so at this time.
There is a way to keep it streaming continuously (at least in Windows), But I dunno if I want to disclose it in event ADC tries to “fix” it
There is most definitely a use case for it…or let me connect locally on my network to a specific camera feed on my own LAN and stream it without putting load on their side.
Yes I am an IT guy so this for sure could be done 
Just to verify it still works, I have been streaming the V520IR feed since around 2:55pm. I plan to let it run in the background for an hour or so, just to verify it wont time out.

So far…I have streamed the ADC video for nearly 30 min, and still going.
I’ll have to try Firefox on mac…really just wish the iPad app did it much easier but I will test it on FF…Thanks
Chrome definately times out.
it is gonna time out, because I haven’t told you how to do it yet. I am still debating that as once I disclose it, ADC will probably “fix” it so you can no longer do it.
I may just notify users privately.

Seems on OSX with FF and Chrome that URL just is a blank screen…may have to play with that more.
I’m actually eating my words. On Chrome I am on minute 20+. All I did was set a static IP in the cam and port forwarded.
I don’t recall that affecting the timeout before, but ADC suggested it.
They indicated it may not work for IOS.
