Just an update:
WITHOUT Carplay today it announced the notification when opening the garage door but didn’t announce when closing.
This would indicate its not just a carplay notification

I have the same issue.
iPhone 16 Pro Max, latest iOS 26, latest ADC app. Whenever I’m using CarPlay to give Siri a voice command that’s saved as an ADC shortcut, e.g. “I’m Home” or “Arm Stay” I get the same notice telling me to turn on push notifications in the future.
They’re all on, they’ve all been on for years, this only started happening recently but precedes the iOS 26 upgrade so it was happening on iOS 18 as well.
Note: this only happens using CarPlay, and not if I’m just using Siri when not in the car.

Today there were no announcements to turn on notifications when not hooked up to Carplay when both opening and closing garage doors
The takeaway is that things keep changing which would infer an issue on their side.
This issue is believed to be on Alarm.com’s side. Since this is an app issue, it has to be escalated to one of their internal teams, and it can take some time to track down the cause and issue a fix.
In the meantime, any additional information you can provide will help narrow it down. Please let us know if you notice anything else or if something changes.
So today, I gave Siri a command to “Arm Stay” while not in the car, and I got the message about turning on push notifications. This is the first time I recall getting that when not in the car, so it seems to be spreading like a fungus

ADC reached out and let me know that they’re still working to determine the cause of this particular issue.
