Just wondering if my current monitor system would work with this.

I currently have an alarm system being monitored by Brinks. We have a 2gig panel as well as Door and Window sensors glass break and motion sensors. Are all of these compatible or will there be something needed for us to do our own monitoring? It looks like we will have to buy the new switch to DIY kit is that all we will need? Also we have a privately owned Lorex camera system is there a way to tie this into the alarm.com app?

Happy to help! The 2GIG Go!Control is indeed compatible with Alarm.com service through suretyDIY. Any existing sensors could be used as is. If you have a 2GIG Go!Control Panel, this page will go over everything you need in order to get started with suretyDIY.

The 2GIG switch to DIY kit would provide everything you might need to get started, yes.

You cannot use third party IP Cameras with Alarm.com unfortunately, no. Cameras compatible with Alarm.com are listed here.

How do I know if it’s a 2gig go? I can find the model number but it doesn’t say go on it. Although it looks just like the one in the picture that’s listed on this website. It says 2gig-b 3.42.

It would look identical to the one found here. If so that would be a Go!Control.

If you are uncertain, you can post a photo here on the forum and we can confirm.

3.42 is a Z-wave version on some 2GIG Panels. You would find this under Security - Menu - Toolbox - Version.

Yes that’s where I got it from in the toolbox that I gave you the numbers prior.

Yep, that is a 2GIG Go!Control. You could use it with our service by following the steps here.
