We moved into a new build and switched all of our smart home items over to Surety Home and wondering if the First Alert smoke detectors were compatible with the alarm system?
When the other security company pitched us on their stuff it was included in it so I’m hoping it’s the same!
In order for a smoke detector to be monitored, it must pair with the alarm panel in use.
Your panel works with 319.5MHz and PowerG Smoke Detectors. First Alert Smoke Detectors do not pair with the panel directly.
However, you may be able to use the FireFighter Wired Smoke Alarm Audio Detector as this allows you to add monitoring capability to existing interconnected smoke detectors. This can be used if the hardwire smokes have built in sounders and if they use standard smoke alarm cadence. The Firfighter “listens” for the cadence from the interconnected smokes and transmits an alarm signal to the panel.
If the FireFighter cannot be used, then separate compatible sensors would need to be purchased. Either 319.5MHz or PowerG wireless smoke detectors can be used:
