We have a Qolsys IQ 4 panel along with an IQR-PG remote panel upstairs. When using the silent exit functionality on the main panel, the IQR-PG will voice the sensor used to exit, e.g. it will say “Garage door opened”. Is there a way to have this remote panel not do this when silent exit is used (the main panel doesn’t voice the sensors during a silent exit)?
Can you go on the IQR-PG and Swipe down > Settings > Installer Code > PowerG update and see if it performs an update.
Both devices need to be on the same firmware to communicate without issues.
“No upgrade available”. It does seem to be communicating with the main panel, as it reflects the status, alarms from the main panel, etc. It just voices sensors when silent quick exit is selected. It also reflects on the remote panel that it’s in a silent quick exit countdown, same as the main panel does.
Both panels are on 4.5.2, but this is an issue which has been there at least since 4.4.0. Thanks again for the help!
I contacted Qolsys and was told you can only accomplish this by either turning the volume down so you cant hear any chimes, or having the time you usually arm fall under nighttime mode of the panel.
Night time mode is found on the IQR-PG by swiping down > Photo Frame > Settings > and edit nighttime hours and settings to include chime and voice.
