IQPanel2 won't turn on

I purchased the Qolsys IQ Panel 2+ (319.5MHz Verizon) about a year ago.
A few days ago the panel became unresponsive and I got a “partition1 Not Responding since 2:06am on Sunday, Februrary 20 2022” notification on the alarm.com app.
I then check the panel and noticed that the screen was blank with a green blinking light. I tried to reset it by holding down the power button for over 20 seconds and still the same. I unplugged the battery and the power source, then reconnected it and still the same. Sometimes I am able to get to a screen with the Qolsys logo, but get stuck there with a blinking green light. Most of the time when I reboot it I just get a black screen with a blinking green light.
Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using the included power supply and are you able to test voltage and the power supply, what is it?

Are you using the included power wire, or an existing run? If you are using an existing run what is the guage of wire and the length?

If the screen is black and unresponsive, do the following:

  • Unplug the power supply
  • Open the panel and disconnect the internal battery
  • Leave the unit off for at least 10 minutes
  • During this time, check the power wire, make sure it is not frayed or damaged. Ensure it is properly connected at the power supply and is properly connected at the panel.
  • Check to make sure the battery is not swollen or puffy.
  • After 10 minutes, power up the panel battery first, then power supply.
  • Does it boot up?

If not, retry the above steps but leave the battery unplugged, only supply power from the power supply (make sure the outlet it is plugged into is working, at some point in the process try a different outlet as a test as well).

As a caution I would point out that the Hard Reset (holding down the power button for 30+ seconds) should only be done as a very last resort as this can cause data corruption and/or damage to the panel (see the installation manual here page 163 )

I am using the included power supply and power wire.
I have completed those steps and still the same. The unit does power up (I see the backlight turn on), but still a black screen.
I have also followed those steps you provided (found in another thread) before trying the Hard Reset.

Have you tried an alternate outlet and are you able to confirm power supply voltage?

Following up here, if the above steps do not resolve the issue, the panel will likely need to be replaced under warranty.

In order to begin that process, the panel would need to be disassociated from the Alarm.com account.

Please let us know what you find and we can start the warranty process if necessary.

Yes, I have tried an alternative outlet and still the same problem. I got a multi-meter and confirm the power supply voltage is around 7V which is consistent with the power supply’s rating.
Can you provide instructions on how to disassociate the panel from the Alarm.com account please?

This is only something that we can do from our end. I have done so at this time. I have also submitted the account details to distribution to get the panel replacement process started.

I will follow up via Private Message with additional steps on getting the process started as soon as I have the RMA information.
