Good morning, I am using a IQ4 433Mhz Control panel and PG9HRDW8 Takeover for the hardwired DSC sensors in my home. My home has wired Nest Smoke/CO detectors. I installed an Ecolink Firefighter DSC Compatible Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Audio Detector.
How do I add the Firefighter to show as both a Smoke & CO detector in the IQ4 sensor groups? It is currently enrolled as a smoke detector only. I would like to do this so the alarm control panel appropriately indicates which alarm condition may exist. Additionally, this also provides a separate discount on my homeowners insurance policy.
Is there way to add the sensor twice and select a different sensor group for each the 3 & 4 tones? Do I need to purchase an additional firefighter and assign each to the respective sensor group?
If so it looks like you can use the printed 6-digit serial number for Fire and then substitute an 8 for the first digit when learning in as carbon. For example if the number printed is 436A48, you would use 836A48 as the serial number for the CO portion.
Once added for both you can download a certificate from your Surety login.
Yes, I am using the WST-600. I manually added the Ecolink Firefighter as a CO sensor using the modified DL ID successfully, and instantly downloaded the Insurance Certificate.
