About a day or so ago, I noticed that my panel is now ghosting. Based on the other posts I’ve read here, I assume that it will need to be replaced.
My question is:
Is it OK to get a used IQ2 panel or is there a chance the replacement IQ2 will eventually suffer the same outcome? Should I just skip getting another IQ2 and go for the 4?

The issue, while uncommon, seems to only affect the IQ Panel 2 series. However, if this affects specific models of the IQ Panel 2, or all models, I do not know. There is always an inherent risk when purchasing a used panel (locked communication, bad radios, etc. )

The double screen issue may be resolved by a power cycle. To do so safely:
Navigate to Settings > Advanced Settings > Power Down
Unplug the power supply from the wall outlet
Open the panel and disconnect the internal battery
Leave the unit off for about 5 minutes, then power up battery first followed by power supply
If the issue does not resolve, submit an image of the issue to us via Private Message and we can pass it on to Qolsys for review. It may still be covered.
However, if it is covered, the panel would need to be returned through the dealer the panel was purchased from (which does not appear to be Surety in this case). Whether the dealer will honor that replacement or not, I could not say.
I have been having the same issue. My system came installed in my new DR Horton home and was put into use in November 2018. I have removed the panel from the wall, but it is hard wired through what is labeled as a "Tool-less” Terminal Block on Qolsys diagrams with a red and black wire. I would like to know 1. how to disconnect the power supply. I don’t think the dealer will return the panel for exchange because I did not renew when my free services ended (automation only). I instead signed up for self-service through Surety. I have seen new IQ4 panels for sale with IQP 4008 and also IQP 4002 which are 433 MHz. Would either work to replace my IQ2 panel?
The IQ Panel 2 is powered via a plug in power supply. It looks like this.
When wall mounted the wire may be run into a basement or utility room to plug in.

Do you have a 433 Mhz IQ Panel 2? That is not the standard option. The standard IQ Panel 2 is a 319.5Mhz panel, and as far as I know builder program dealers basically always use the standard 319.5Mhz version since it is less expensive.
If you have a 319.5Mhz IQ Panel 2, you would want the IQP4001 or the IQP4004 (Verizon and AT&T respectively.)
No I don’t have a 319MHz and I know my service is through Verizon. I see the different options available to purchase on EBay in new condition with reputable sellers. I will focus on getting a 4001 panel. Thanks. Looks to be a fairly widespread issue and seems like Qolsys should address it directly with consumers who have moved away from their original installer to self service.
I have never seen that plug butI imagine it could be in my attic space over my garage since the panel is on the wall near the garage door. Thank you for all of your assistance.
