IQ Temp S Customization

I recently purchased a IQ Temp-S to put in my detached garage. First night I have it installed, it goes off, 120am.

Is there any level of customization with this?

I would love to be able to set a lower “extreme” temperature threshold to trigger it going off.

Also, is there a way to have this not come to the panel as an alarm? I didnt realize that this is how it would come through? I was hoping for merely an alert on my ADC app, not a full blown alarm, followed up by a phone call from the monitoring company.

Unfortunately, the IQ Temp-S temperature sensors are fixed at 40F for low-temperature alarms and 100F for high-temperature alarms.

The PG9905 is a PowerG temperature sensor that can be used instead if you’re looking for a sensor with an adjustable temperature threshold. It is currently out of stock on our website, but you can purchase it from elsewhere and use it with your system.

The siren can be disabled for environmental alarms in the panel settings.

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings > Advanced Settings
  2. Enter your installer or dealer code (Default 1111 and 2222)
  3. Navigate to Installation > Siren and alarms
  4. Uncheck the box next to Water/Freeze/Temperature Siren

Changing the sensor group to 25 Freeze Non-Reporting will stop the sensor from reporting to the monitoring center but will still allow for sensor activity notifications through Alarm.com
