I’ve got the IQ2 downstairs and an IQ Remote mounted on the wall in our upstairs master bedroom. It’s a recent addition to the system but definitely convenient to have the IQ Remote upstairs.

However, for some reason, at exactly 6AM, my IQ Remote screen lights up. I know it lights up whenever I do something to the system (I typically disarm the system before leaving well before 6AM - and I’m at the upstairs panel to turn it off before walking out the bedroom door so as not to disturb my wife), however, it lights up for no apparent reason at 6AM.

Any reasons you can think of why this would happen? Most mornings I don’t care (my wife, on the other hand, cares)… but on the mornings I can sleep in, it would be nice not to be woken up by the glow of the panel at 6AM.

This should be something you can resolve pretty quickly, luckily! If you swipe down to reach the menu on the IQ Remote, select Photo Frame > Settings. Scroll down to find Nighttime Mode End. By default this is set for 6:00am. You can change the time here.

No, you cannot use a Gen 1 Qolsys panel as a secondary keypad.

For the IQ Panel 2 you would need an IQ Remote.
