Does anyone know the difference between “activity monitoring” voice alerts and “sensor” voice alerts?
Where are you reading these options? Is it in the panel?
On alarm.com, activity monitoring on means it will send all open and close events to alarm.com even if the system is disarmed so you can see it in your activity feed.
Activity monitoring off will only transmit alarm signals to alarm.com and the monitoring station.
Voice prompts on means the panel will talk when the sensor is opened.
Thank you. When I got into the install setting there are 3 types of voice notifications: 1. Sensor, 2.) Activity Monitoring; 3.) Panel. I am trying to figure out what each one of these will annunciate.
I see it now in the panel.
Sensors would be any open and close status on burglar sensors.
Activity Monitoring is specifically for zones programmed as Local Safety Sensors.
Panel is for notifications of certain areas of the panel. Like when you try arming the panel, it says “Select arm system type” or entering program it says “Enter User Code”
