IQ Pro - Control multiple partitions with PowerG remote?

Hello,

We have an IQ Pro system with a detached guest house setup as a separate partition. We would like to arm/disarm each partition independently, however we also want the ability to arm/disarm both partitions from the same panel in the main house. All of our panels are IQ PowerG Remotes. I’ve seen language elsewhere that suggests this should be possible, but I haven’t managed to get any of our PowerG Remotes to show more than one partition thus far. Any suggestions on how to enable this functionality would be appreciated.

I’ve checked for any updates on this behavior, but Qolsys confirmed it is not currently possible to assign an IQ PG Remote to multiple partitions.

They say an alternative option is to use the HS2TCHP (manufacturer’s link here)

That keypad can be upgraded with an sd software update to make it compatible with the IQ Pro, then can be set to arm multiple partitions.

The HS2TCHP software update can be downloaded here.

  1. Unzip the file to a blank SD card
  2. Place the files in base directory
  3. Insert the SD card in the bottom of the Neo Touchscreen
  4. Touch “Options” icon on the right of the screen
  5. Touch “Installer Menu”
  6. Enter Installer/Dealer code for IQ Pro (defaults are 1111/2222)
  7. Touch “Keypad Programming”
  8. Touch “Firmware Upgrade”
  9. Proceed with the Firmware upgrade
