This morning my IQ Panel was totally in dark mode. A green light keeps on flashing and the screen is totally dark. What can I do?
This behavior has been seen in IQ Panel 2 systems experiencing hardware failure unfortunately. Prior cases have required replacement of the panel.
I would recommend trying a hard reboot by holding the side power button for 30 seconds. If no result, try an extended power down. Unplug the panel and disconnect the battery inside of it. Wait 2 hours then plug it back in. Any change in behavior?
If there is no change in the behavior, the 319.5Mhz IQ4 Hub would be a replacement option, or the IQ Panel 4.
A similar case is described below:
If you open your panel and take a look at the battery inside, does that battery looked bloated?
I actually removed the panel and the battery seems to be ok. Should I remove the panel and disconnect for 2 hours? Should I replace the panel?
Actually, if you are able to try a little longer test; while it is trying to boot like that with the green flashing LED, if you unplug the transformer from its outlet does the panel remain powered off the battery and continue trying to boot?
If so, leave it powered off like that for a while, maybe overnight. Does the LED shut off after a while? (to make sure the battery is depleting)
Once it does try plugging it in, wait 10 minutes, then try booting up again. Any change at all in how it behaves?
It may be worth trying a new replacement battery first, generally this situation has resulted in a new panel needed due to what is likely board failure, Qolsys says it could also be battery related though.
