I received my IQP4004BLK today, along with a remote panel and hardwire 16F. I installed the 16F with no issues. Plugged in the AC power barrel connector on the Panel 4 (using the supplied 7VDC power supply) and it will not power up. Browsed on here and Google and tried the recommended process of disconnecting the AC power and battery, reconnecting battery, then connecting and disconnecting the AC power. Nothing changes and no response from the panel at all. I’ve tried each 7VDC power supply with the Panel 4, but no change. The remote panel powers up as it should. Voltage from each power supply checks out good.
Any other suggestions or something I’m overlooking?
First power down the panel and open it up. Check to make sure the internal battery has been plugged in. Then close up the panel and reconnect to power.
Next, hold down the power button for 3-5 seconds. You should see an Android logo then a Qolsys logo. Does it?
If there is no feedback from the panel after pressing the power button and the display and LEDs do not show, then the panel battery is likely discharged. To troubleshoot:
- Check that the battery cable is properly
inserted into the connector. (Looks good here)
- Insert the AC power plug into the
- The LEDs should begin to flash Red,
indicating the panel is charging. The LEDs may remain
flashing for up to 30 mins while the panel charges. The
panel will boot once it receives sufficient charge.
However, After the charger is inserted and the power button has been pressed and there is still no feedback from the panel and the display and LEDs do not show, then the panel battery is likely deeply discharged. If that is the case, try the following:
- Unplug the battery, unplug the AC power.
- Reconnect the battery only.
- Insert AC power plug, wait 5 seconds and then remove.
Repeat this up to 10 times until the LEDs continually flash
Red indicating that the battery is charging.
- The LEDs may remain flashing for up to 30 mins while the
panel charges. The panel will fully boot once it receives
Note: If the LEDs stop flashing Red and the panel does not boot, go
back to the previous step (Step 3).
Yes, this is the process I tried multiple times and the panel does not power up.
Are you able to power the system on battery only? Are you using the included cable or an existing cable run?
Are the LEDs lit up at all?
In a private message (to keep it off the public forum) what is the 15-digit IMEI and Serial Number? These are found on the back of the panel, on the box it came in, and in programming.
IMEI: Settings > Advanced Settings > About > Cellular
SN: Settings > Advanced Settings > About > Hardware
No LEDs at all, whether on battery only or using the included power supply and cable.
PM received and additional follow up has been left in reply there.
