IQ Panel 4 & Water Sensor

I installed an Interlogix 60-744-95R water sensor in the utility room and programmed in group 25 on the IQ Panel 4. (I don’t need it to call the central station, a push/text alert is sufficient).

I testes the sensor (pushing the setup button) and it notifies as intended. I was able to silence the panel (dismiss) , but the sensor still shows as active/wet after dismissing on the panel.

(1) How do you reset the sensor from the panel?
(2) Is there a way to reset remotely (surety or alarm.com) if it ever triggers? (ie. Stop the panel from alerting continuously if there’s no one near the panel to dismiss).

I haven’t tried group 38, so don’t know if that would stop the panel alerting. But still would need a way to reset remotely.

Thanks!

That sensor status on the panel will only update based on signals from the sensor. It is not possible to manually change the status that a sensor is reporting on the panel screen.

The manual isn’t clear about how to restore when pressing that button, but I would recommend closing the sensor cover, then short the sensor water detector contacts with a wire to trip it. Remove the wire to restore the condition. Does that restore the status on the panel?

Here is a link to the manual.

A few minutes ago it triggered a water alert, when there was none. The sensor is new (and I put fresh batteries), but it had been sitting in storage for a few years. So, I think I will get a new one (fully compatible) and see if it works any better.

Thanks!

I was going to ask about whether that was new. All interlogix models have been out of production for quite a few years. A new IQ Flood or PowerG Flood sensor would be recommended.

Ordered already. Now we’ll see how fast you guys ship it out!

Have a good weekend!
