My panel is getting very difficult to use and am currently resorting to ADC app or remote panel when I don’t have my phone on me. Currently the panel has the stock picture slideshow screen saver, but when I touch the screen, it goes completely black. It will then, from what it looks like, reboot on its own because after 1 min or 2, the screen will go from black to white with a small dialog box with a message saying, “Initializing the App,” or something along those lines. When the screen does decide to work, it seems to respond to my “taps and touches" with about a 30 sec delay which makes it almost unusable. I have been patient enough with it to be able to reboot the panel via the “reboot panel" menu option to no avail in regard to symptom resolution. I was able to physically reboot by powering panel down via menu option and then unplugging battery once all LEDs turned off. Then I unplugged panel from ac power and left for about 3 hrs before plugging everything back in and booting back up. This seemed to fix it, but the next day I noticed it went back to its antics. This sounds like the issue found on firmware 4.6.1. Usually rebooting the panel fixes the issue temporarily. Qolsys troubleshooting of this would be to disable the camera, perform a reboot of the panel, and then enable the camera again.
In the case the delay keeps happening on the screen with button presses, then disabling the camera or performing a master reset which deleted the whole panel would be the next step. The easiest way to do this and have your system up and running is to perform a backup > master reboot the panel > restore the panel.
