I just rented a home and have a Iq panel 2 in it. I went to surety and entered the IMEI number and it said it was available to set up. My question is that I don’t have a code to get onto it no master codes like 1111 2222 1234 work at all. If I buy a subscription will you be able to give me the code to access it? I don’t want to pay for something if I am not able to use it.
Typically a user code is required. Either the Master User code (user #1), or the installer code, or the dealer code.
Any of those can be used to access and run a cell communicator test from the panel, which is used during the activation process to connect the panel and start communication.
Based on experience, if the panel was used before there is a chance it might be able to connect without running the test, but it is unfortunately not guaranteed.
Once connected any codes can be reset, but getting connected typically requires one of those codes. The master code is most commonly known.
