Just purchased a house with an IQ Panel 2 and the seller does not have the code. Unfortunately, the system is currently on a Fire Alarm screen and won’t allow me to access the setup menu. Is there anything I can do to reset the panel?
Not really by the sound of it. If the code is unknown, the only way to change the code is to access programming, which requires a current code, Or for the panel to already be connected to Alarm.com service.
In either case, the panel needs to be disarmed first. The default Master User code (to disarm) is 1234
The default Dealer and Installer Codes are 2222 and 1111. Neither of which can disarm.
If the panel is still connected to service, the dealer may be able to assist. Or perhaps the code was given to the realtor
In this case, it looks like you already connected a panel to service through Surety and ran a cell test. The primary user in Alarm.com would be associated with the Master User code. You can check in ADC for it under the Users tab.
If you need to change the Installer Code, you can send a command via System Manager to do so remotely.
