IQ Panel 2 suddenly dead

Like the title says my IQ panel 2 is dead.

I got a notification from alarm.com that the panel had not responded in 4 hours. I went to my panel and it was completely off, I’ve tried all possible ways to power it on.

I’ve tried just battery power, just AC power and both. I’ve tried disconnecting everything and then trying it all again.

Every troubleshooting step I’ve tried has failed, I’ve also tried holding the power button down for all intervals of time up to a whole minute.

I’m hoping there’s something else I can try since of course I’m going on vacation in 2 days and this happens…

Given the urgency, there are some simpler possible causes to rule out. Hopefully one of these is the issue and it is an easy fix.

I see a low panel battery report prior to it ceasing communication. This would suggest power was actually lost to the panel for a while. Just to be sure, can you check to make sure that outlet where it is plugged in is getting power and no breakers are thrown?

Can you power something else off that same power receptacle where the panel is plugged in?

If the receptacle is fine and providing power, you may have a failed power supply or damaged wires.

Double check the panel power supply plug. Do the wires look damaged or loose at all? If so, try reattaching them firmly to the power supply terminals and plug the panel back in.

If there is no change after that, do you have a multimeter that can be used to test those power supply terminals? It could be a failed power supply.

I got out the multimeter and I’m getting 7.5V at the transformer but on the board it was fluctuating a lot so I reattached the wires to the transformer and now I’m showing some signs of life, I have a blinking red light!

After charging up a short time, try powering on the panel. Any luck?

No luck it won’t power up, no more lights either.
