IQ Mini not pairing with panel

I am trying to re-register a ~2 year old IQ Mini (QS1135-840) that I had previously registered with my IQ Panel 4. When I set my IQ Panel to auto-learn and tamper with the sensor, the panel does not respond or find the sensor.

I’ve tried a few things:

  1. I tried switching the batteries in the sensor and it doesn’t make a difference
  2. I tried adding the device manually by typing the DL ID into the panel instead of auto-learning, and the panel does allow me to register the device, but the sensor does not register open/close.

Any other ideas / suggestions? Or is it likely the sensor is broken?

Please make sure to check the battery polarity since a battery change was completed.

When did the sensor last work and how long has the sensor been disconnected from the panel?

This seems to have just resolved with more time - not really sure what happened, but it suddenly started working again. Feel free to ignore.
