Today is the second time that I am doing my monthly test of my system and the IQ Keypad glitches out and won’t stop sounding. The light status does update but the buzzer keeps sounding if it’s still in alarm. No amount of rearming and disarming stops it, unless I take off the batteries and put it back up. The glitch usually happens towards the end of the test after the alarm has sounded for a while after tripping the last few sensors. I recently bought the device not that long ago so I’m concerned that is glitching out so soon.
I sent an email to you with a video demonstrating the issue.
I do see your IQ Panel is on the latest version. Is your keypad on the latest version as well? You can enter the keypad settings and you should see a PowerG update option. Select this option. It may fail but you can retry.
Ah, I thought it was a touchscreen PowerG Keypad. I just saw your video as well thank you for that.
Okay then lets first check the signal strength of they keypad using the main panel. If you can swipe down from the main screen > Settings > Advanced Settings > Dealer/Installer Code > System Test > you can perform a current test under PowerG Test. What is the signal strength?
If it is strong, can you make sure you have full functionality of the keypad like arming disarming and panic buttons from the keypad?
Finally, try deleting the keypad, then power it down for about 5 minutes. After the 5 minutes, learn it back into the system and test.
I feel it’s going to be a hardware fault because single button commands work well, like arming and disarming, but I wasn’t able to trip any of the panics. Like it wouldn’t take the two button press and hold, and would just give me an error. Power G signal does show strong though.
Hi, so I deleted the device, took out the batteries for 5 mins, once I powdered the device back on and re-enrolled it, arming and disarming worked fine but again trying to trip the panics failed and gave me an error.
Can you send a video of the error beep when pressing the panic buttons? Qolsys is asking questions on this as they claim they haven’t seen this.
Can you also upload the logs by swiping down from the main screen > Settings > Advanced Settings > Installer/Dealer Code > Installation > System Logs > Upload Logs to the server
I went ahead and sent the video and the logs. I retried to trip the panics and I was able to trip it once but the second time and it failed and gave me the error beep shown on the video
