Testing your alarm system is an important step in installation. If you would like to keep from disturbing family members or having to hear the siren that much, you can follow these steps to mute the sounder on the panel.
Or you can simply disable the siren by unplugging the connector. this can also be a permanent means with which to disable the panel if you are using for example zwave sirens and TS1’s, and wish to not have the main panel (which may be concealed), from giving way its location.
keep in mind for those with 2way voice, it will no longer work if speaker is disconnected (mic will still function though).
