So I have my IQ Panel table mounted and I am using the Honeywell FG-701 Glassbreak Simulator to test. I know the manual does day for the Glassbreak to work it has to be wall mounted not on the table stand, but before I used to sneeze or cough loud enough and it’ll go off, that is why I changed it the Zone type to away only. Now I am trying to test it using the simulator and everything and can’t get it to go off.
Instructions on how to test the built in glass break are found starting on page 131 of the installation manual here.
Unfortunately if the panel is not wall mounted per the requirements, we would not be able to expect reliability or that the testing instructions should result in success.
Be sure to have the panel glass break test page open on the panel to run the test with the simulator:
