How to silence sensor failure

I have a brand new IQ4 panel along with some sensors. Last night I got a warning that my CO2 detector was malfunctioning and the panel started beeping. I couldn’t get it to stop by matter what I tried. Ultimately I just powered down the panel and decided I would deal with it the next day. I have a plug in CO2 detector that is also running as as backup in the meantime.

If the panel is giving off trouble beeps for a malfunction or low battery, etc. you can acknowledge this by clicking on the Surety/Qolsys logo on the home page of the panel (top right) then on Alerts / Alarms. From there click the radio button next to the trouble condition and this should silence that beep. This is temporary and will return until the underlying issue is resolved.

When you power the panel back on, try that next time the trouble alert appears.

As for the Carbon Monoxide detector, looks like you are referencing the Zone 5 Carbon Monoxide Detector Upstairs, correct? That is reporting a tamper and not networked trouble. Did you power this down as well?

I tried acknowledging all alarms but it basically went back to testing them all again and reporting the fault. The tamper alarm was me removing the battery and trying to take the sensor offline that way. I’ll give it another go today and report back.

I’ve powered up the panel again and we’re back to constant beeping. I’ve already acknowledged the alarm but the beeping continues.

Some trouble beeps are not able to be silenced. One way to silence the panel is to delete the device in trouble.

Once you are able to resolve the issue, you can add the sensor back
