If the device has already been registered with the MyQ app make sure to delete the device from the LiftMaster MyQ website.
After removing the device be sure to wait at least ten minutes then actuate the garage door wall control two times in a row before moving on.
If the garage door opener cannot enter Wi-Fi Learn Mode, go through a full open and close cycle after the initial installation.
If there is no Wi-Fi signal in the garage:
On setup.myqdevice.com, select Erase Wi-Fi before scanning for the network. Wi-Fi settings can also be erased by pressing and holding the black adjustment button until three beeps are heard (approximately six seconds).
Move the wireless router closer to the garage.
Purchase a Wi-Fi Range Extender.
Install a MyQ Internet Gateway (828LM) to communicate with the garage door opener from the router.
If attempting to install the garage door opener using an iOS device, verify that Wi-Fi Assist is disabled. For more information, refer to Apple’s About Wi-Fi Assist support article.
