How to Resolve Dual-Path Communication Failure - Broadband

The Dual-Path Communication Failure - Broadband trouble condition indicates the panel is unable to communicate with through the broadband network.

There are several possible reasons the broadband communication is not connected to

  • The router is not connected to the internet or is not receiving power.
  • For panels with built-in Wi-Fi communication, the panel cannot connect to the router
  • For panels that use a bridge for broadband connection, ensure the bridge is powered up and is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable.
  • If the panel allows for a static IP, make sure the values entered are correct.

Qolsys IQ Panel 2 or IQ Panel 4

  1. Reboot the router
  2. Disable Wi-Fi at the panel.
    • To disable Wi-Fi at the panel, navigate to:Settings > Advanced Settings > Enter Installer or Dealer Code > Wi-Fi > Deselct the Activate Wi-Fi checkbox.
      • You may want to select the network the panel is connected to first and forget the network before disabling Wi-Fi
  3. Enable Wi-Fi and reconnect the the desired network
  4. Test for resolution
