How to make IQ 2+ secondary to smartthings hub

Does Tyler’s How-to guide assume you have a surety plan that allows for ADC automations? I have suretyalarm, would this guide work for me?

Actually pairing the panel and additional Z-wave hub doesn’t require any specific service plan, the Z-wave radio on the panel is always accessible, but without a service plan that supports automation rules/commands there wouldn’t be much point in doing so.

You cannot remotely control the panel through Z-wave, for instance. Setting it as a secondary Z-wave hub is meant to provide automation access to two separate controllers/software apps for the same set of Z-wave devices.
