Customers are alerted to water leaks and can quickly and easily shut off the water valve remotely from the app. Customers also enjoy water monitoring, allowing them to moderate consumption and ensure the health of their indoor plumbing. The PhynPlus must be professionally installed.

Requirements

  • Compatible PhynPlus Smart Water Assistant and Shutoff
  • Current version of the Phyn app
  • Current version of the Alarm.com mobile app
  • Water Management and Water Management Plus service package add-on.
    • Through Surety, Water Management is included in the Surety Home and Surety Complete service packages. Water Management Plus add-on is an additional $2 /mo and can be added to your account by request.

Before integrating

Install the PhynPlus Smart Water Assistant and Shutoff

Only the PhynPlus Smart Water Assistant and Shutoff is compatible with this integration. Refer to manufacturer-provided installation instructions to complete.

Create the Phyn customer account

The PhynPlus Smart Water Assistant and Shutoff needs to be connected to the home’s Wi-Fi network.

Once the PhynPlus device is installed, PhynPlus account set up, and you have the correct Alarm.com service plan, you can integrate with Alarm.com.

To integrate via the Alarm.com Website

  1. Log into the Alarm.com Website.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Manage Devices.
  4. Click Add Device.
  5. Click Water Valves and Meters.
  6. Click PhynPlus Smart Water Assistant + Shutoff.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Enter the Phyn login credentials when prompted.
  9. Accept the terms and conditions and wait for the discovery process to complete.

To integrate via the Alarm.com mobile app

  1. Log into the Alarm.com mobile app.
  2. Tap Menu
  3. Tap Add Device.
  4. Tap Water Valves and Meters.
  5. Tap PhynPlus Smart Water Assistant + Shutoff.
  6. Tap Next.
  7. Enter the Phyn login credentials when prompted.
  8. Accept the terms and conditions and wait for the discovery process to complete.
