How to clear Panel Tamper message on alarm.com app?

Hi,

I opened my 2GIG panel to check the serial number and since then i am seeing panel tamper message on my alarm.com app.

How do i clear the message on the app?

I did had panel tamper message on 2GIG module, which got cleared after tightening the screw on the the module.

Hmm, I don’t see any active trouble conditions for you in Alarm.com. No tampers on the system status.

Can you try logging out and logging back into the app? Any change?

I just logged out and logged in back and still see the message.

When you opened the panel, the panels internal tamper switch was triggered. If it has not cleared, it is likely that the switch is askew, or not being pushed down fully by the back plate.

  • Check the back plate, is it firmly seated against the panel using the set screw, or are there gaps/ is the back plate crooked?

  • Internally, are there any power or antenna wires getting in the way of the backplate?

  • If you press down on the tamper for a bit, then release, does the panel tamper or is the switch kind of stuck a bit?

Thank You. That did the trick. opened the panel and fixed it again with the screw and panel tamper message disappeared from both panel and app.
