I recently bought a 2gig go control2 kit from homesecuritystore.com (would’ve bought one from you guys but I just found your website). I would like to buy a monitoring package from suretydiy. I bought a T-Mobile GSM sim card with 1000mins for 2yrs. I’m not sure what kind of sim plan I need for the monitoring. Could you give a run down of everything I need to do to setup monitoring? This is a complete diy system as I’ve gone through no dealers.
I’ll be completely honest, I’ve never heard of a prepaid GSM for an alarm system before. As of right now, I’m not aware of any T-Mobile 3G cards for a 2GIG system. While this may not impact you immediately, 2G service is being phased out all over the country and if you have a 2G cellular module, it may stop communicating sometime this year.
Once you have determined that you have the correct cellular module, you can get setup with monitoring through us. In order to get setup with us for monitoring, you will need to first purchase on of the monitoring packages we have available. During the ordering process, you will need to provide us with the serial number of the cellular module you have so we can get your account setup.
