Honeywell Wi-Fi Thermostat - Integration Guide

Alarm.com supports Honeywell Smart Thermostats. These thermostats connect to Alarm.com via third party integration and the Honeywell app.

Available features

The following features are available for Honeywell Smart Thermostats on the Alarm.com website and mobile app:

  • Remote control, including temperature setpoints, modes, and fan modes
  • View current temperature
  • Automation with Alarm.com Scenes
  • Pro-HVAC Monitoring
  • Severe HVAC Alerts
  • Pre-Season tests

Requirements

  • Current version of the First Alert or Resideo Smart Home app.
  • A compatible Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostat enrolled on the First Alert or Resideo Smart Home app.
    • Common models are T5, T6, T9, T10, and Focus Pro 200, but any model supported on the app should be compatible.

Note: Focus Pro 200 must be enrolled on the First Alert app, it is not compatible with the Resideo Smart Home app.

  • Current version of the Alarm.com app
  • Any Thermostat service package add-on

Before integrating

Install a Honeywell Smart Thermostat

Only Honeywell Smart Thermostats are compatible with this integration. Refer to the manufacturer-provided installation instructions to complete.

Create the Honeywell customer account and connect thermostats

  1. Download the First Alert or Resideo Smart Home app to create an account.Important: Remember the username and password, which will be needed later in the process.
  2. Add the thermostat to the First Alert or Resideo Smart Home app and connect the thermostat to the home’s Wi-Fi network.

Integrate the Honeywell account to Alarm.com using the Add Device Portal

The Honeywell account can be integrated with the Alarm.com customer account using the Add Device Portal on the Alarm.com website or Mobile app.

Once the accounts are connected, the compatible thermostats on the First Alert or Resideo Smart Home account will appear on Alarm.com.

To integrate the Honeywell account using the Alarm.com website:

  1. Log in to the Alarm.com website.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Manage Devices.
  4. Click Add Device.
  5. Click Thermostat.
  6. Click Honeywell Home Thermostats - FocusPRO, T5, T6, T9, T10.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Select the correct third party app.
  9. Enter the Honeywell login credentials when prompted.
  10. Accept the terms and conditions and wait for the discovery process to complete.

To integrate the Honeywell account using the Alarm.com app:

  1. Log in to the Customer app.
  2. Tap Menu
  3. Tap Add Device.
  4. Tap Thermostat.
  5. Tap Honeywell Home Thermostats - FocusPRO, T5, T6, T9, T10.
  6. Tap Next.
  7. Select the correct third party app.
  8. Enter the Honeywell login credentials when prompted.
  9. Accept the terms and conditions and wait for the discovery process to complete.
