Honeywell FlexGuard FG1625 reporting "open", can't clear

Hi all,

I have a 2gig alarm panel with most of the door contacts/glass break sensors hard wired in. There was a previous alarm installed at the house that was converted over to 2gig by the previous owners using a takeover module.

The other day my alarm triggered and reported that the glassbreak sensor was triggered. I remotely disabled the alarm and re-armed it. Ever since it went off, I have not been able to clear the alert on the 2gig panel or in the alarm.com app.

To troubleshoot, I took the cover off of the glassbreak detector and put it into test mode for a few minutes and then took it out but that did not make a difference.

Is anyone able to help me clear the alert? It is becoming super annoying that I have to bypass the sensor to arm the alarm.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you saying it still shows “Open” or you still have an “Alarm” status?

If you open the glass-break sensor that was tripped, check the sensor wires to make sure that none are loose or broken. If the sensor is indeed powered and continually reporting open on the panel, it is most likely a wiring concern.

If the wires at the sensor look ok, double check the wires at the Takeover module. Give a little pull on the sensor wire, is it firmly attached? Double check its ground as well.
