I have a Concord 4 system. I have a few key fobs (portable panic) attached that I use for arming/ disarming.
The problem that I am having is that the key fobs have 4 buttons. One of them is the panic-duress-medical alert. This button gets pressed on accident resulting in Fire/Medical showing up. How do I stop this? Options I thought of are:
Can I reassign the button on the key fob?
OR can I change the default procedure at the Monitoring Central Station to match the Burglary alarm? – Abort signal (disarm) then alarm will be disregarded.
OR how do I turn off settings in the Concord system like-
0510 Fire Panic
0511 Aux Panic
0512 Police Panic
We’re currently doing some digging to see if this specific request can be tackled via programming or not. Should have more information shortly.
OR can I change the default procedure at the Monitoring Central Station to match the Burglary alarm? – Abort signal (disarm) then alarm will be disregarded.
i see you have multiple locations that have a Concord 4. What location is this for?
It looks like these are for the panic buttons on the touchpad based on the programming manual. Not for panic alarms sent through the a key fob.
The key fob may be able to be changed to group 32 so that it will communicate as a sensor and not as a panic. You may try setting it up like this and test it. This will NOT send a panic alarm to monitoring station.
To do this, enter 8 + Installer code + 00 > Press # on SYSTEM PROGRAMMING > Arrow down until you get to SENSORS and press # > Arrow down until you get to EDIT SENSORS and press # > Scroll to the sensor number of they key fob and press # > Arrow down until you get to SENSOR GROUP and write down current group number as you can change it back if it doesn’t function as expected. Enter 32 in this area and press # to save > Press # x5 > Arrow down until you get EXIT PROGRAMMING and press #.
If this fails, we will look into alternatives for how a key fob alarm can be handled with the monitoring station.
When troubleshooting, you may want to place your 24/7 professional monitoring account on Test Mode during troubleshooting to avoid any false dispatches.
You can do this by calling monitoring operators directly at 855-348-0367 or from the Test My System tab in the System Manager section of your Surety account.
I have 7 locations with Concord 4 all with multiple fobs. I will try to change a key fob to group 32 and see if that will work. Thanks for the suggestion.
Changing my key fob for group 32 seemed to work great. Tested fine. Arm / Disarm still worked, panic button had no effect which is what I was looking for. Thanks Vidail! Editing all fobs will be easy too. Great solution.
