Upgrading my system to a 2GIG edge from a Honeywell. Have several 5816 wireless transmitters with 958 sensors hardwired on loop 1. New 2GIG edge will not recognize the change in state (open/closed). Went in and did the sensor test, all communicated when tested. Wired a new 5816 and 958 on my desk and programmed. It works fine and shows open/closed. I checked the existing sensors for normally open and closed when magnetized. All working properly. What am I missing?
When on the programming page, what are you entering in on the sensor type option? Do you have the same options from the one you tested on your desk as the ones you have installed?
Thanks for the reply. I am entering equipment code 0637 HW D/W “5816” for all transmitters. The new one that works properly and the existing sensors are all programmed the same.
The equipment code is correct. Could you try deleing a sensor, and learning back in… When learning back in, set the TXID to auto learn. Open/Close that sensor and it should show on the keypad. Finish adding sensor and test.
When on auto learn, careful with motions as they can sent a learn signal if you walk in front of it. Always double check serial numbers learned in before saving.

I got it. Had to replace all the 5816 transmitters with 5816WMWH. They program in and work perfect. 958’s worked fine. Thanks for your help!
