Is there a way to hardwire the IQR-PG panel? The manual does not show a way to wire power other than using the supplied round connector.
There is no way to directly wire the IQR-PG directly to your panel or the PG9WLSHW8. This is a wireless touchscreen keypad and needs to be powered with its provided transformer.
If you would like a hardwired keypad, you can wire a DSC HS2LCD keypad on to the PG9WLSHW8 using a 4 conductor wire.
Sorry for any misunderstanding, I would like to hardwire the power cable from the transformer to the IQR panel. I have a pre-wired cable run from a power source to where the remote panel is located. I’m wondering if there is a direct power connection inside of the remote panel?
The included power supply should be used to power the IQ Remote PG. There is no internal terminal block for power, only the barrel connector port on the outside. The panel is not meant to come apart.
You do not need to use the included cable, you can use an existing cable run, so long as it meets specs outlined in the manual on page 9.
