Hi, my Qolsys 2+ panel (less than 3 yrs old) recently started to “glitch.” Basically, the icons blur and move around the screen (see attached screenshot).
Any thoughts on whether this can be fixed?

Have you done any troubleshooting, like a full power cycle?
If not, do a power cycle:
Any Change?
Also, the firmware on your panel is out of date, you may need to update a couple times to get to the most recent version. You can find patch notes and update instructions in the guide below
Thanks for the info. No, I haven’t tried the steps you mention…yet. Will do those now and see if it makes a difference.
I did the firmware update and the power cycle. Unfortunately, it didnt change anything. Any other options to try?
Thank you for that information. I have passed this along to Qolsys to see if there are any steps for resolution, I will follow up as soon as I have heard back.
Apologies for the delay, we have heard back from Qolsys and unfortunately, they do not have any additional steps to resolve this issue. However, it looks like this is still covered under warranty. I will follow up with warranty return information via private message
I’ve been having this issue now too with y screen. If I reboot the problem goes away for a while but comes back. I’m on the latest firmware version.
Is the panel connected to power correctly? Have the wires come loose?
Are you using the included power supply and cable, or a pre-existing cable run?
Does the issue persist across all screens when in use? How long after a power cycle does it typically take to come back?
Usually with this type of issue, the double image is permanent and the panel needs to be replaced
Yes this is persistent in all screen modes.
After a reboot the flicker is immediately fixed.
But after a few days or so it comes back.
Unfortunately there is no resolution for this issue other than to replace the panel. As it is outside the warranty period a new panel would need to be purchased separately.
Ok…so my screen is hosed now…I can’t press buttons accurately
1: are the screens tied to the boards from a security stand point…like iOS devices. I’m planning to purchase a used device and swap screens by removing the existing hardware and swapping them over.
2: hopefully it’s not the board side of things…but I guess I’m going to find out
3: For the mean time can the device be remotely updated?
The screen is not meant to be replaced. It is unclear of the issue is screen related, or another piece or hardware is at play.
3: For the mean time can the device be remotely updated?
Panel is reporting FW 2.8.1 which is up to date. If purchasing a replacement panel, a backup can be run if needed, so long as the panel is still communicating.
I know things aren’t “meant” to be replaced but I’m going to mess with it at this point…not much to loose…so I’ll be a tester and report back on my results. Looking to pickup a used panel and try things out. I’ve had luck with some tv repairs in the past, so…if I fail, then I’ll buy a new iq4.
