Is it ok/advisable to configure a glass break as sensor type 7 (24-hour audible)? I want this sensor to trigger an alarm whether the system is armed or not. Thanks.
Hmm, typically no, you would not want to do this, and I would strongly advise against it if you have 24/7 monitoring.
24/7 zones are usually used for manually activated devices that do not carry the same risk of accidental activation.
Audio glass break detectors are prone to false activation when the home is occupied. We often recommend programming them as Interior Followers, like motion detectors, for that reason.
If you are self-monitoring using Alarm.com notifications and do not have professional Central Station Monitoring however, the consequences are of course different/lessened.
