GC3 siren volume

On the GC3, there are sliders for 4 different volumes…not sure which one controls the alarm volume and the manual doesn’t help. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

None of them affect alarm siren volume. It is set.

Ah, ok. Thanks!

Sorry to revive an old thread but figured I would post here incase anyone has same question.

Is there a way to disable the siren altogether? It is ear damaging loud and I have a separate siren I will be using. Don’t need permanent hearing loss from a simple leak.

No. You can temporarily turn it off for testing, but you cannot permanently disable the siren (short of unplugging the hardware internally).

Are you referencing this thread?

If you do not wish for the flood sensor to sound an alarm at all you could optionally just use it as a notification sensor by setting the sensor type to (23) No Response Type. This would never generate a local alarm and never get forwarded to a central station, but it would report to ADC and you could set up Alarm.com notifications to monitor its activity.

Ok I unplugged bottom speaker seen here for future reference. Thanks for help!

I do not recommend physically unplugging the siren as this will affect all sensor sirens of course, but yes, the lower of the two plugs inside.

If the issue is sound produced for one sensor, the best way I would recommend for this case would be setting the sensor as a No response zone.

Jason, I have an issue with the siren altogether as it is extremely loud. No way to adjust volume I tripped sensor to test and the time it took me to disarm my ears are still ringing from. Something simple as a false alarm is deafeningly loud. Will locate a siren facing outside house instead.

Not a problem, if you want to use a Z-wave siren or wired siren to announce instead that would work. The upper connector in the GC3 is the speaker which announces chimes, countdowns, etc., so other functions are separate from the siren.
