GC2 Upgrade to Qolys External Siren

Just upgraded my GC2 to a Qolys IQ 2+. Finding that the external siren doesn’t trigger. Is there a different type of hookup or sounder required for the Qolys panel than I had with GC2?

if ur wanting to add an external siren I’d recommend just purchasing a powerg outdoor siren or indoor siren so much easier

Upgrading system. There was already an external siren in place. Connected to new panel and not getting any output. Wondering if different specs for external sirens between 2GIG GC2 and Qolsys IQ 2+

When it comes to wireing a siren to qolsys it more trickier than just purchasing a new powerg siren

The main difference is the Qolsys IQ Panel 2+ does not power a siren directly via its siren terminals. The siren terminals are just a relay which allows you to switch a separate power source to activate the siren.

You would need an external power source per the diagram in the manual (see below).
