My old house I had the Qolsys 1 panel. I would arm the house and then come home later, open the garage, start working on a project in the garage and forget the alarm was armed and it would go off.
I could have sworn I went into the Qolsys panel and changed the type so that it would still function and give me notification but wouldn’t trigger the alarm.
Now that I am in the new house with everything setup on the Qolsys 2, I’m having the same issue and want to make it so the garage tilt sensor doesn’t set off the alarm, but still functions with notifications. I forgot what I changed (or maybe I’m simply not remembering correctly), and did not find anything searching.
Did I dream this up, or is there a setting change I could make? Thanks for the help!
You would just want to use Sensor Group 25 for that sensor. Go into the Edit Sensor settings and change Sensor Group to 25 (Local Safety) This sensor group reports open/close activity to ADC but never generates alarms.
